Global Commerce Intern, Special Projects

The Metro Atlanta Chamber’s (MAC) Global Commerce team works to grow the region’s global connectivity by marketing and promoting metro Atlanta internationally, by attracting foreign investment and by helping local companies find business opportunities abroad.

The Global Commerce Intern, Special Projects, will be responsible for the following:

1. Assisting with the implementation of the 8h Annual Global Impact Awards (GIA) on April 19th.

MAC’s GIA honor metro Atlanta companies that go above and beyond to achieve excellence in international commerce, innovation, and entrepreneurship to build a sustainable global ecosystem in metro Atlanta.
• Assisting with the company nomination process
• Assisting with the winner selection process
• Processing invoices of sponsors
• Attending meetings and providing support to key players of event including, MAC Communications and Graphics teams, Sponsorship Committee and others
• Serving as the point-of-contact for the GIA attendees / working with outside vendors to keep track of all event attendance registrations
• Providing support as needed the day of the event

2. Updating the Global Commerce International Partners databases and marketing materials.
• Working with MAC’s Research Team to ensure data validity
• Updating CRM database with current contact information of members
• Working with MAC’s Communications and Graphics Teams to create MAC Global Commerce marketing materials
• Coordinating with translation companies to make Global Commerce materials available in multiple languages
• Reaching out to the metro Atlanta international chambers of commerce and trade organizations to verify country-specific business information
• Preparing and updating marketing materials for foreign prospect companies
• Keeping all physical marketing packages printed and up-to-date

3. Performing other support activities, especially as it relates to the Global Cities Initiative (GCI) and preparations for trade missions and marketing trips abroad.

2017 Summer Olympic-Style Sports Intern

We are now accepting applications for our 2017 summer internship program. We will be starting our review process shortly, so please encourage your students to apply now. We look favorably on those students who applied early. Highest priority will be those applicants who are taking the internship for credit.

We have a rolling application deadline which means we will begin reviewing applications and continue until filled. So sooner is the better when applying, but completeness is always most important! Our spring positions: Jan through April positions are FULL!
The Georgia State Games is one of the largest Amateur Olympic-Style Sports Festivals in the country. We rely HEAVILY on top quality interns to operate many of our sporting Events Projects and Programs. It is a tremendous experience and we have interns that come from across North America each year. To date we have had students attend our internship from 37 States, 9 Foreign Countries and 3 Canadian Providences. We can provide housing!

Position Details:
The Intern will assist the Executive Director in the planning and implementation of the Georgia State Games Olympic Style Sports Festival. Intern will oversee and coordinate all aspects of assigned sports from A to Z. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Production and distribution of event promotional materials, entry forms;
• Huge amount of face to face and telephone marketing to attract participants.
• Develop events sponsorship proposals and promotional materials;
• Solicit and obtain sponsors, venders and VIK gifts;
• Communication with the Sports Chairs, venues, Support Services committees, sponsor representatives, event chairpersons, and national governing bodies;
• Assist in the planning, preparation, and presentation of sponsorship and operational logistical meetings
• Conduct all registration and financial reporting for assigned sport;
• Assist in the execution of all events of the Georgia Games Championships;
• Working with the sports coordinators of the team sports to ensure that their requirements for competition are met;
• Marketing, coordinating and overseeing the Georgia Games sports;
• Overseeing the distribution of Games individual sport entry forms;
• Coordinate all on-site venue preparations and breakdowns;
• General troubleshooting and problem solving during the Georgia Games Championships;
• Providing an in depth evaluation and after action report.
• Develop and distribute press releases and human interest stores for assigned sports;
• Conduct marketing campaigns for all assigned sports to develop interest in and encourage registration by deadline dates for each sport;
• Recruit and manage all necessary personnel, officials, volunteers, etc to operate assigned events;
• Solicit and obtain athletes and teams for events through whatever means necessary.
• Ensure that all accounts receivables and accounts payables are completed within one week after events completion.
• Develop necessary list of industry publications to submit post event articles for succeeding years event;
• All other duties as assigned.

All other tasks, duties and responsibilities necessary to ensure a successful event is operated meaning increased participation numbers from previous year, quality customer service, within assigned budget, increased sponsors/venders and a positive evaluation from participants.

2017 Rotational Analyst Program

The NFL's highly selective and competitive Rotational Analyst Program provides participants with an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to the organization's success through a series of challenging project work assignments, League events, and networking opportunities across different League departments and NFL Club franchises.

ChooseATL Intern (Marketing)

ChooseATL is focused on attracting and retaining emerging talent by evolving perceptions, showcasing local assets and defining Atlanta as the ultimate place to call home. Habitat for Humanity is seeking to fill 100+ AmeriCorps positions in communities across the United States. MEDIA INTERN

We are currently offering Spring Semester internship. We are looking for enthusiastic go-getters who are ready to jump in feet first! The media world is growing and we are looking for an intern with video shooting and editing capabilities to create gifs and other short clips for clients.
